On August 16, 2004, Aksam Nu'aysa, the President of the Committee for the Defense of Democratic Liberties and Human Rights in Syria (CDDLHR), was released after a 4-month detention. The court required the posting of 10,000 Syrian Lira (USD 200) bond and the court date has been set for October 24, 2004.
