According to the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), on July 6, two unidentified men on motorcycles threw Molotov cocktails the Tempo office in South Jakarta. The attack follows a recent Tempo story on alleged suspicious bank accounts held by several high-ranking police officers. IFJ condemns the attack and is calling for a full and transparent investigation into the crime. The Tempo was a local partner for the World Movement’s Sixth Assembly in Jakarta last April.
