The Kyiv Post is Ukraine’s leading English language publication, covering business, politics, and society in this former Soviet republic.  Founded in 1995, the weekly supports democratic politics and open markets.  Over the years it has led the charge for a free press in Ukraine, and has played a role in the Orange Revolution and other significant Ukrainian events.  It is produced by a mixed team of Western and Ukrainian journalists.

Ukrainian Independent Information Agency (UNIAN) is a Kyiv-based news agency.  Founded March 1993, UNIAN is now used by major newspapers, TV-channels, and radio stations as one of the main information sources.  It produces and provides of political, business and financial information, as well as popular photo reporting service.

Ukrayinska Pravda is a popular Ukrainian Internet newspaper, founded by Georgiy Gongadze in September, 2001.  The newspaper is tailored towards the general readership with some particular emphasis placed on the hot issues of the politics of Ukraine.  It strongly supported the Ukrainian opposition during the events of the Orange Revolution in autumn 2004.  Its online forum is one of the most diverse and widely attended Internet political discussion fora in Ukraine.
