Middle East & North Africa

The Secretariat of the World Movement for Democracy is responsible for facilitating democracy-building networks and communications among World Movement participants. This Web section provides links to existing networks in the region, including the Middle East Network for Democracy (MEND), which was launched at the Middle East preparatory meeting for the Second Assembly of the World Movement in November 2000.

In addition to network links, this section includes information about Middle Eastern and North African organizations participating in the World Movement, participants’ projects, publications and research materials, funding sources, and internship and training opportunities.
