E-mail Lists and Other Information Sources

The following is a list of electronic newsletters, "list-servs," alerts about human rights abuses or activists in danger, and other sources of information (organized by region) to which participants in the World Movement for Democracy may wish to subscribe. These sources of information are available in English unless otherwise noted.

Although the World Movement Secretariat issues alerts from time to time about participants who are in danger, we do not wish to duplicate other organizations' regular efforts to inform the democracy and human rights communities about activists and organizations being persecuted by governments. We therefore urge participants in the World Movement to review the following list of electronic sources of information and to subscribe to those that seem most appropriate for learning about situations of human rights abuses and threats to democracy activists, scholars, and practitioners around the world.
