It presents selected web sites and resource materials developed by the Institute, and its in-country political and civic partners. It also provides a place for democracy activists in every region of the world to identify resources, share lessons and communicate best practices for promoting peaceful political change.

Revista Encuentro de la Cultura Cubana (Encuentro) produces the quarterly journal Encuentro. Headquartered in Madrid, the journal is devoted to a broad discussion of issues in the humanities, the arts and the social sciences, and publishes articles and commentary from international scholars and independent Cuban intellectuals living in Cuba. The journal provides a forum for intellectuals and writers in Cuba to publish their work and, as it is distributed inside of the island, serves as a vehicle for outside information, debates and ideas to reach Cuba. The magazine is dedicated to discussion and promotion of political change in the larger context of Cuban culture, philosophy and history. Encuentro recently launched a new initiative, "Connections," establishing a portal that will link Cubans and non-Cubans via the internet for discussions on various topics related to Cuban culture, art and history.

Journalists Against Corruption (Periodistas Frente a la Corrucion - PFC) is a Latin American regional program that integrates the diverse advantages of the Internet as a networking and communications tool and also as a means of promoting transparency in government and business dealings. PFC provides critical help for Latin American journalists who investigate and report on corruption. Journalists can use the PFC's Web site, e-mail network, and advisory services to obtain contacts and information needed for their investigations; to learn about laws related to access to information, censorship, protection of news sources, defamation, and journalist ethics codes; to identify human rights organizations, projects promoting investigative journalism, and international and local groups fighting corruption; and to find out about conferences, workshops, training opportunities, and grants to support their work and professional development.

The Political Database of the Americas seeks to encourage in-depth study and the effective exercise of democracy in the Americas through the acquisition, preservation and dissemination of comparative political data. The Database, a non-governmental Internet-based project, provides reference materials, primary documents, comparative studies and statistical data for countries in the Western Hemisphere.
